The four days were so interactive and there were endless opportunities for networking with trainees which gave me the opportunity to learn more about life in commercial law. Whilst there, I learned more about practice areas such as corporate and finance.
I would like to thank Jackie Trench for facilitating an amazing four days and Georgie Court for capturing our fun times at the firm. The week at Clifford Chance consisted of a mock M&A pitch where I played the character of an award-winning deal partner, sessions with barristers from One Essex Court, talks from in house lawyers from Deutsche Bank and the pro bono talks.
The key highlights for me included a talk on ‘Personal Impact’ delivered by Luan de Burgh which I absolutely loved and the inspirational Q&A session with the PRIME alumni – Orin Begum, Hakan Ustabas, Alima Kay and Lewis Barton.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at the firm and learned more about what a career in commercial law entails.
