PRIME are pleased to announce that with the departure of long-standing Board members Chris White, and Julie Randles, it welcomes two new Board members. Chris and Julie have both made excellent contributions to PRIME’s work and the lives of students and PRIME has benefitted enormously from their expertise and experience which they have so generously shared
It is important for PRIME to have representation from law firm members, partner organisations and sector experts on our board and so we are delighted to welcome Naomi Kellman and Tim Smith.
Naomi Kellman is the Senior Manager for Schools and Universities at Rare Recruitment, where she founded Target Oxbridge, a programme that has helped over 300 Black African and Caribbean students secure Oxbridge offers. Naomi is also a member of the Foundation Oxford Advisory Group and the University of Oxford History Faculty’s External Advisory Panel.
Tim is a highly acclaimed partner at member firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP where he co-heads the firm’s Social Inclusivity & Ethnicity group. Tim has supported PRIME’s work for the past two years as the Chair of our partner advisory group and is also a trustee of The Bridge Group and Aspiring Solicitor’s Foundation.
Nicholas Cheffings, Executive Chair of PRIME shared: “I am delighted to welcome Naomi and Tim to the PRIME Board. They each bring their own unique area of expertise from a legal and social mobility perspective which will complement our existing Board members. Collaboration between law firms and partner organisations is essential to effect the real change needed to improve access to, and socio-economic diversity within, the legal profession.”
