Programme details

The Pioneer Programme was launched in 2012 as a precursor to the Bursary Programme, and is a social mobility and talent development programme which establishes and builds relationships with students from the age of 14 onwards.

The programme aims to develop employability skills as well as raise aspirations so that students feel able to pursue professional careers.
We recruit students in year 10 for the programme and once recruited we provide:
· Six skills development workshops throughout year 10 and 11
· One week’s paid work experience in our offices in London
· One week’s work experience through the SMBP programme
· An annual alumni event for every student who graduated from the scheme

When does it happen?
We hold one workshop in November, February and April for our year 10 and 11 students and the work experience weeks.

Who can apply?
We invite all year 10 students from Central Foundation Girls School and Lambeth Academy to apply for our scheme.

How many spaces are there?
Our Pioneer Programme offers 12 spaces per year.
