When does it happen?
The programme traditionally starts in October and is completed by April.
Who can apply?
We focus our recruitment within the school we work with on students that meet the PRIME criteria. Only open to our 5 STAR School partners
Each year we work with approx. 25 students in each location.
5 STAR Online

Apprenticeships
We offer a successful legal apprenticeship programme for school leavers who do not wish to qualify as a solicitor via the traditional route. Our paralegal trailblazer apprenticeship offers the student the chance to work towards their Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services whilst gaining two years' experience within a law firm.
Following the completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice may have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship where they will become a qualified solicitor upon completion. By the time the apprentice becomes a qualified solicitor, they would have between 6-7 years' experience working in the legal field.
We also offer a range of apprenticeships for applicants who do not wish to qualify as a solicitor within our Central Services teams.

Further Opportunities
For undergraduates, graduates and career changers, our Social Mobility Programme has been developed to provide individuals from diverse backgrounds with mentoring and skills sessions ahead of a paid work experience scheme.
In order to be accepted onto the programme, candidates will need to apply for a place by completing an online application, video interview and assessment centre. Once accepted, candidates can be considered for a training contract at DWF in their chosen location, whilst also benefiting from 1-2-1 mentoring and skills sessions which aim to support development.
The work experience will be for two weeks and will mirror a vacation scheme; candidates will have the opportunity to complete live legal work, work together on a group project and attend practice group presentations. There will also be the opportunity to attend social events to further build an internal network.
While completing the work experience, candidates will have a trainee buddy and a supervisor in addition to their existing mentor.
Candidates can apply in our Birmingham, London and Manchester offices. Apply here.
