What work experience do we offer?
Our work experience allows students to gain insight into the many different jobs which exist in a law firm. Students are given the chance to work alongside our lawyers on live matters and have exposure to our clients. Students also get the chance to visit different departments so that they can gain an insight into aspects of our business other than law i.e our professional support services such as IT, marketing and HR. Students are assigned a mentor to offer day to day support and guidance during the work placement.
When does it happen?
Work experience placements usually take place during the summer holidays.
Who can apply?
Students who meet the PRIME criteria can apply:
Students in S2 to S6 in Scotland who attend a state (non-fee paying) school (preferably S4 to S6); and
The student must be, or have been, eligible for free school meals or be of the first generation in their immediate family to attend university.
